Zinc Diecasting Conference 2010
The conference sessions will be devoted to the main zinc diecasting end-use markets: • automotive
Who should attend? Draft Programme: It has been decided to focus the conference on the market potential for zinc die castings and on the latest technological developments in alloys and casting processes. There are 4 main sessions – automotive, building equipment, electric & electronic and advanced technologies - and for each session, speakers will review new applications, highlighting the benefits of zinc alloys and advantages of zinc castings over competing materials. Several technical papers have also been submitted, covering topics such as new mechanical property data, ageing properties of zinc alloys, creep design modelling, forgeable design alloys, new environmental friendly finishes, etc,… Click here to open/download the Draft Programme Language: the conference language is English. Venue: the conference will take place on 23-24 September 2010 at: A welcoming reception will take place on Wednesday 22nd September in the Fleming's Hotel. The conference sessions will start on Thursday 23rd at 9:00 am and finish Friday 24 th around 15:00 pm.

A two-day international conference to review the evolution and opportunities provided by the main end-use markets for zinc diecastings and draw attention of designers, specifiers and engineers to the benefits of using diecasting alloys in applications such as: automotive, building, electric/electronic and advanced applications (medical, space, etc.).
A short sightseeing tour of the historical centre of Vienna will be organized for the participants just before the Gala dinner, which will take place at the magnificient Daun Kinsky Palais in the historic centrum of Vienna
In parallel with the conference, IZA also organized an International Zinc Die Casting Competition.
